Any 07/07/07 Last Minute Cancelations Out There?

My 07/07/07 Bride canceled on me... she said the groom "called the wedding off 2 days before the wedding". I feel sorry for her and was wondering how many of these "magic" weddings fell through?
What is 7/7/07? I appreciate that it's the date. In the UK it's the time when London got bombed and many people got killed - oue (very small scale) terrorism attack marked in a similar way to the US's 9/11. So in the US it's a special day - in what way?

It's only special because of all of the sevens. There are also biblical implications, too, but most brides just thought it would be "cool" to get married on "7/7/7".
I had no cancellations (all 3 of mine were booked a year in advance) but I was turning down brides up to just a month ago for this date. Felt sorry for those folks ..... actually trying to line stuff up only a month in advance for the biggest wedding date of the year!
No, its just because they consider 7 to be a lucky number. I think it was unlucky for cake decorators! LOL
07/07/07 isn't an American special day. It's actually a religious event of sorts. 777 is the Lords number in much the same way that 666 is the number of the devil. Among many christians, it's thought that being married on 7-7-07 will be lucky and the wedding will be blessed.
In this post is a link to the USA Today article ... it includes some good background on the reason for the popularity of this as a wedding date.
