I read the directions. It didn't say how thick to make it and mine is too thin. I cant even get it off the darn wax paper. Now I don't have a Barney for the 2 yr old tomorrow... icon_cry.gif What size tip and how thick is is supposed to be?

i made my first FBCT today, didn't go so great either. i think i made the icing backing too thick, so it was unlevel with the rest of my cake. so make sure you don't do that. Also, I think I let it warm up too much before putting onto my cake, because half of the design didn't come off with it! I used my 3 tip and filled in the best i could.

anoldhippy, did you save your transfer? If you did and it is just too thin, you can put a thin layer of bc on the back of it (while it is still on the wax paper, of course). I then just smooth it over with a small spatula, then let it freeze. After it is frozen, you take it out of the freezer then place it on your cake. Then quickly take the paper off (yes, kimberlina25, if you wait too long, you will lose part of your transfer--I have done that also). If you have to, put the cake in the freezer to let it get cold again, then peel off the wax paper. The transfer doesn't have to be very thick, but maybe about 1/8"?? That is a guess, just a thin coat of bc on your barney, spread to smooth. I hope you get to make your cake with your design for your little one!
