Need Ideas For 1St B-Day, Diego Theme...
Decorating By mom2spunkynbug Updated 8 Jul 2007 , 8:03pm by SugarBakerz
I have a while...it's not 'til September, lol
But I'm having a hard time thinking of a Diego themed cake for a first birthday. I want it to be simple, but recognizable to the boy! And cute!
Any ideas? ![]()
The new Wilton Yearbook has some Diego cakes in it. I think the Diego figurine on a cake with trees and a couple of animals would be perfect. Or maybe a cake in the shape of Rescue Pack, (carved sheetcake?)
I made a Diego cake for my nephew's second birthday and just made it into a mountain, with some trees and a waterfall. Then we put Diego and friends figures on the cake. I think it turned out ok and he loved it (it's in my pics if you want to take a look).

I don't know a lot about Diego (my kids are older), but a mom who called last year told me a little about it and wanted me to do the Diego Rescuepack. It turned out really cute and was easy to carve out of a large sheet.
Thanks everyone!
how about a cake shaped into a jeep with Diego sitting in it? Or I was also going to say Diego with trees and some animals
pmw109 - I really like the idea of a cake shaped into a jeep with Diego sitting in it!!! Thanks!!
I kind of want to stay away from figurines. I'm trying to do fondant figures. (I think my "Link" on my Zelda cake came out ok.)
Now I need to learn how to do a carved cake into a jeep! ![]()
