mmf = marshmallow fondant

the extender is something you add to a regular cake mix to make it larger...there is a thread about all of these abbr. I'll try to look for it.

Hi -

Well, I thought there was a link to abbreviations but I couldn't find it... I'm sure someone will come along.

Here are some common ones:

MMF = Marshmallow Fondant
FBCT = Frozen Buttercream Tramsfer
IMBC = Italian Meringue Buttercream
BC = Buttercream

and the cake extender, I think, is what you add to your existing recipe to fill a larger pan.. If I'm worng icon_biggrin.gif someone will come along, I'm sure!

The cake extenders are recipes for a box of cake mix plus other ingredients (flour, egg, sugar) tha tyou add to both get more batter, thus taller (or more) cake, and a more scratch-like taste, easily.

I've had very good luck so far with them!

I'm new here too and already ADDICTED!!! I have gotten so many great ideas for the bakery I work at. There are many, many very talented people on here and I'm so glad they are sharing their creations.

CC is saving me money too. I haven't been on Ebay since I started here icon_lol.gif
