Okay, I'm stressing a little over this. I just switched from mmf to fondx for my fondant figures/accents to save time. It really has helped but I had some fondant "rings" that I had made as cupcake toppers to wilt in the fridge.

So then I decided to use gum paste to make a fisherman for another cake last week--only to later read postings that gum paste may turn to mush in the fridge--

What do you all use with good results? Do you have customers assemble their toppers and accents themselves the day of? That somehow doesn't seem right to me. ??

I have used fondx, Satin Ice and MMf to accent and all my cakes need refridgeration. Some will swaet if it is a humid day.. Do you have pics of the weilted rings?? never had that happen before?

i didn't take pictures of the wilted ones, i only have the "before shot" which i will add to photos soon (can't do it on this computer). anyway, i had actually posted about it when it happened, its possible they weren't dried through and through--just a few hours. (but they felt dry to the touch and held their shape until the overnight stay in the fridge) --

anyway, glad to hear you haven't had problems--maybe i'll give it another shot with the fondx.
