I was browsing the USA Freedom Corps website just now looking for something to catch my eye regarding volunteering and I came across this. If you live in the Philadelphia area (suburbs, city or even in NJ) and want to practice your cake decorating skills check out the below link. I couldn't believe it when I saw it.

Hey thanks! I'm close enough that maybe I'll be their volunteer!
I got really excited about this and then I saw that they are 2 hours from me ![]()
I think that would be so awesome!
Ya, I sent them my info... It is about an hour away from me, but it would be nice to volunteer at something I am good at! And, thanks for sharing that site. We had an exchange student a few years ago, but right now, we don't think that we can afford to have another one.. That link opened my eyes to the possobility that we might be able to be co-ordinators instead of hosts. That way I can still be helpful and make a difference in the kids' lives, but not make them go to school in a crime-ridden city. We don't really want to have another kid till we move out of the city, which is a few more years away. =(
