I have been how much I would charge for this cake. I am thinking this is a 14,10,8,6. Would anyone agree or am I off? I am thinking if this is the size this cake should feed 114-138 ppl depending on the cut. She needs to feed about 80 ppl. How much would you charge? I am thinking to get to the amount of cake it could be a 12,8,6. What do yall think? They like the look of the sqaure/round.

Thanks yall!!!

Since it's harder to put a square cake on a round, I think it's 6/8/12/14 or maybe 6/8/12/16.

A 12" square serves 72 (1x2x4), so she is going to have more than 80 servings.

I charge by the serving ..... a la carte price for me is $2.50/per.

It sure is a beautiful cake!

I would think you could use a 12 inch square base (60 brides size servings) a 10 inch round tier (30 servings), 8 inch square (24 servings) and a 6 inch round (for the couple to save). The servings would total 104 but if you go any smaller with the tiers I don't think it would look good. You could either charge for 80 larger slices or 104 brides size servings. ALSO, to reduce the number of servings consider a fake tier such as the 8 inch square!

Thanks for the advice. I did initially advse the bride she could have a "dummy" layer but she wants the whole thing edible. I just recieved an email and she states her guest list is pushing 100. I agree w/ you alamosweets those are the sizes I suggested.

indydebi....that's what I was thinking. $2.50 per slice.

Sometimes I feel like I ask dumb ??'s because alot of ppl view but don't respond. Don't get me wrong I appreciate the responses I get and have learned alot..was it something I said? icon_confused.gif

Nickii,
Don't take it personally. It isn't meant that way and maybe some of the ppl that viewed your post just couldn't help you. You are not dumb! Keep asking questions. We all learn from them. I think $2.50 is cheap but it depends on what the going rate is in your area. It is a beautiful cake so don't forget to post your picture!

Nickii,

She's right, I viewed, but haven't a clue....

I'm a newb.

I hate the number part, I just want to decorate. But I know that I will need to know this stuff if I want to get going on my business. icon_cry.gificon_cry.gificon_cry.gif
