Just a little FYI.
My son pointed out to me that if I use the quick response to reply to a message that it doesn't add to (increase) your total number of posts.
You know I wondered the same thing. And now you just confirmed it for me. So why the quick reply if it don't count. Silly me has used mostly the quick reply - no wonder I'm still a newbie
It should. That is how I normally respond and my number of posts have been increasing.
That's pretty much all have used since I started posting, with a few exceptions. It adds to my post total every time.
How do you post a "quick reply". I'm new here and any time I've answered a post, I just hit "post reply". Is that a "quick reply" ????

bottom right & i just found it myself
I have only posted a few times without using quick reply and mine seems to be adding up just fine.
Yes, something strange is going on. I just made 3 replies and my count didn't change.
Ok. I just checked my response and it says 588. I'm now responding using the quick reply.
Ok. I think I get it now. It seems that the post count changes on the individual account which makes it look like it didn't change because if you view previous responses made they will have the same count. Whew! LOL!
I think what is confusing is how the number of posts change on all of your posts (does this make sense, ie if you post 3 times in one thread the post number will all be the same because it changes them all to the current number)...when i first started I didnt think any of mine were working at either.
ahhhh mkerton... that makes since!! i am glad that ya'll pointed this box out though!! ive been on this site it seems like forever and never saw this quick reply spot!! would have made things a little easier, now i'll just use the xt time to type more!! haha
OK, mine was 720 before I typed this, let's see if it now says 721!
Edited to say: yay! I'm going to be using this a lot now
