As far as a budget goes, I would make the MMF from this site. It is easy, and it tastes good too. All you need is 16oz. of large marshmallows, 2 lb. bag of powdered sugar, 2 tablespoons of water, and add alittle flavoring of your choice. The directions on how to make it are on here under recipes and there is an article on how to make and use fondant!

Hello,
Yes, you can roll MMF, it works just like fondant but tastes ALOT better! I love it and use it all the time, no more Wilton fondant for me!

I use fondant all the time. Try not to roll it too thin and be careful when you move it, I lay it over my rolling pin. Remeber there are always ways to hide those imperfections that only we see.

Be brave and good luck.

I use icing sugar (I think it is the UK name for powdered sugar) to dust my surface when I roll out fondant and I believe they are similar to use. I had a look on http://www.cakecentral.com/article47-How-to-Make-and-Decorate-with-Marshmallow-Fondant-MMF.html and it suggests cornstarch, but I haven't tried it.
