this cake took me forever. i am never doing number shaped cakes covered in fondant again, soooooooooooooooooooooo much work and so fiddly. and after all that im not that keen on the cake as i hate pink! lol!

It's beautifu! I did a small "18" cake for my son last year and it was a pain to cover. Plus, I didn't use a firm cake recipe so it was very delicate to work with. Yours is very nice! I love what you did with the cake board too.

Thanks everyone. the rose are made of marzipan b/c i find it easier than fondant.
