I am just about to start this recipe I found onthis site and I am stuck it calls for 3/4 cup of white sugar. White Sugar???? Powdered or the regular kind anyone know I almost put powder sugar inthe pan when my gut feeling said no ask the girls on CC. from cooking and baking experience I think the recipe means regular granulated sugar Please correct me if I'm wrong

I was going to say that too...any recipe calling for powdered sugar, specifies powdered, not white.

I would take it to be granulated, white sugar as opposed to brown sugar. Powdered sugar sounds too sweet for the filling.

Well I tried it but BOY is that almond extract strong! sorry I am pregnant I am smell anything and identify it!!! So I did half teaspoon vanilla and half almond and I can only taste a hint of almond and too much vanilla which I don't mind I guess next time just put all the almond in there, but it is pretty tasty and easy to make, no noise required!!! Kids sleeping now I can't wait to finish my cake tomorrow and share with you all!!!!!
