Ok the attached cake was for a family member ( thank god) this was my fisrt attempt at fondant , so of course i had pleating at the bottom and small cracks where I folded over to place in time of the cake . I decorated with Swiss dots that turned into giant dots as i moved up the cake. i made gum paste cala lilies, roses and hydrengas and i rememberd that you could color with grain alcohol so i colored them all and laid on thin foam sheets to dry . Needless to by the time i needed them they were not dry icon_cry.gif as i started to remove them of came petals and some had foam stuck to them..... I ended up wireing them anyway but dared anyone to get real close to the finished product !!!!!!

Don't be so hard on yourself! It looks really good, I wouldn't EVER attempt to do a huge swag of flowers like that - so good for you!! Only you can see the probs! It looks nice!!!!

Awwww, come on, it's really not that bad at all! I love your lilies and the whole design is very pretty. I'm sure it was appreciated and no-one else noticed all the little things you did - we are far more critical of our own work thumbs_up.gif

It really does look great, from your description I was expectinbg to see a terrible cake, but you've done really well. You can avoid the dimpling in the centre of your swiss dots by using thicker royal icing. I love the flowers tumbling down the cake - very pretty.
