I saw it!! The jeep cake was great, too bad that guy tore into it like a maniac. Did you see Geoff(is that his name) face? Like all the work he put into it and the guy didn't even bother to slice it properly. Oh well, it was paid for, so whatever. But I think I would have been tiffed just a little bit. LOL.

I saw the show as well. Geoff is a real artist. I loved the jeep cake and the hat in the hat box cake as well. Duff is a real character. I look forward to seeing more...

I know what a waste of his time and hard work s for that guy to just smash the cake like. Those people could have tried making a black Jeep themselves and it probably would have looked the way they wanted like a complete mess. I miss Thursdays show and it's Sunday now so I wonder if they will show it again before the next episode.

I would like to see more of the cake baking as well....

Usually it is about the cake decorating and almost never of the kind of cake that is being used.

Anyway, I don't really care for Duff but I LOVE cakes!

So I will watching and see what else can they come up with!

I thinkt he cake for the Horse raise was amazing. The building did look just like it!

About 90% of the time my tv is on the Foodnetwork. I love Ace of Cakes, his ideas and ways are so enlighting. Not to mention how talented they all are.

I'm all about a new approach on things and Duff is a definite! party.gif

One I noticed and forgot to mention is that Duff uses a lot of airbrush spray colors. I don't see him kneading any color into the fondant...

Oh wow Debbie Brown having a show would be sooo awesome!!!! Can you even imagine? I'd love a more instructional show though - how to smooth fondant, how to bake the perfect cake, etc.... just something more instructional - although I love this show. I think it's a ton of fun, I love Duff, and I want to work for him!!!!!!!! I haven't attended any culinary school and I saw him playing the drums - which I'd also like to learn..... I think we could be great friends and then he could hire me for his bakery! icon_biggrin.gificon_biggrin.gif It looks like so much fun to go to work - even when you're baking stupid little cookie stacks - they still looked like that had a sense of commaraderie (I prob. butchered the spelling of that) and fun! How different from my regular work day!!

I LOVED the Preakness cake by the way - I live in KY so we have the first leg of the race - the Derby and we have a little steeple-like thing like what he made and I actually got married outside of it so it's sentimental for me - it would have been awesome to have a Churchill Downs replica cake for my wedding! I loved my cake - it was simple w/ scrollwork & flowers - and it was DEEEliccious! But it would have been something else to see a cake like the one he made! How cool!!! Note for him next time though - they need to clear a "runway" or a "cakeway" for him to deliver that cake! I almost wanted to kill the guy who touched his arm as he's carrying the cake - and all those drunk kids and horses - it's a miracle he got it there!

Yeah I'd like to have a more instructional show to on how and the exact recipe for the perfect cake-lol, and all that good stuff too. And I said the same things to a friend of mine the other day. I want to be good friends with Duff so I could work with him too-haha.
