What is the recipe for gum paste and how do i use it. i have my sister-in-laws wedding coming up and she wants me to do the wedding cake with butterflies going up the side of the cake. i would do them in gum paste right? i have never used gum paste. could someone please tell me how to do this?

Wilton makes gum paste mix. You just add water and mix it up. Then I think you're ready to color it and mold it into your flowers, etc.

sugarcraft sells rice paper butterflies. Or are they wafer paper? There are directions on how to make them on the site. Sounds easier than gumpaste.

Scott Clark Woolley has a gum paste recipe at cakesbydesign.cc.

Also, I have one from Nicholas Lodge, but I'm not sure which website his books and recipes are on, maybe somebody else has the website! I'd put it in here, but it is pretty long. Janice
