I'm sure this is a super old question, but I couldn't find the answer, so can someone give me quick directions on how to do one? Thanks.

There is a tutorial under the articals section on how to do a FBCT. Read that then post any additional questions!

Thanks - that's what I was looking for!!
another question - FBCT end up flat right? Is there a way to do these where they would be puffy (have a little dimension) and still be able to peel them off the paper and put them on the cake?

No they will be flat, however they will stick up off of the cake a little (unless you do the entire top of the cake) Remember the part on the parchment/wax paper will be the "front" that is the side that you will see. So if you want more dimention I suppose you could pipe some details on top after you have applied the FBCT.
