Created, stacked, transported, delivered and set up my first tiered cake! And the only thing that went wrong was when I put the honey pot on the top I knocked the bottom of the U off. But I had my icing with me so had it fixed in a flash. The mom to be loved it! As she walked into the room she yelled, "Look at that cake!"
Patterened it off the cake in the Wilton Tiered Cakes book called "Teddy's Ready to Play" on page 99.
Didn't have the Winnie the Pooh pan, so used the stand up bear pan and added icing to his cheeks and nose to look more like pooh.
Cake is yellow with buttercream icing. Was going to use some fondant, but chickened out at the last minute.....maybe next time!
THat is adorable!! So cute! I haven't gotten the nerve up yet to try a stacked cake. My daughters bday is in Sept, maybe I'll have to give it a try then! Love your cake!
Just adorable. I have the 3D Bear pan and have not had the nerve to try making it. Our school mascot is a bear and I know I could probably sell lots of them if I would just learn to do it. This inspires me to try!
You have done a really good job of stacking it and your color combination is terrific.
Congratulations!
Diane
