IS IT EVER POSSIBLE TO MAKE A CHEESECAKE IN A DIFFERENT SHAPE PAN SUCH AS ( MICKEYMOUSE , FLOWERS ETC. )I KNOW THAT YOU CAN UNMOLD A CHEESECAKE FROM A ROUND REGULAR CAKE PAN BUT I REALLY WANT TO TRY SOMETHING DIFFERENT AND IVE NEVER SEEN IT DONE BEFORE I KNOW ABOUT THE HEART SHAPED AND THE SQUARE PLEASE HELP![/list]
I'd say it would be possible to unmold it from a shaped pan, but my first thought is that when you make a cheesecake you pour the batter on top of the crust and cook like that, so if you did it in a 3d pan all of the shape would be to the bottom of the cake and not to the top. Maybe you could just cook the cheesecake without the crust and then do that part separately and position them together? Don't know, just throwing out ideas. ![]()
Yes you can. I don't know if you have a recipe that you use, but I have a really good one if you need one. I just did a wedding order at the end of June that was cheesecakes. 3 tiers that were staggered and 150 individual ones. You don't have to bake the batter and stuff separate. You have to bake the crust for 10 minutes and then pour your batter over it. Make sure that you spray the pan with non-stick spray. As soon as you take it out of the oven, you have to take a knife and run around the edge of it. Put it on a cooling rack. After it cools, put a cookie sheet on top, preferrably a large airbake if you have one since they don't have sides. Flip the pan, then put whatever you're going to put the cake on, cake board etc. on the top of the crust, and carefully flip it back over. HTH
