I have read so many thing on how to store MMF. I am wondering what you all do. Do you keep it in the fridge?? Or do you just keep it well sealed at room temperature???

Also how long do you keep you MMF for? I always have a bunch of misc. colours left over. Usually I just use them for practice because I don't know if they are still good or not.
Thanks All!!!

I would say it is best out of the fridge. People have said it can last months, but mine always seems to get to hard after awhile so I prefer to make up new each time. Though sometimes I will keep some of various colors for accents and whatnot, but not for covering an entire cake.

I keep my leftover fondant in plastic wrap, ziploc bag and airtight container at room temperature.

So my fondant has been in the fridge for a week or so, can I just take it out, rewrap it and store it at room temp?? That would be so much easier: no microwave hassles.

If it were me, I would let it come to room temp in the bag it is in, then wrap in new stuff if you want. I have kept MMF for months, it does get stiff, I just pop it in the microwave for a few seconds and it is good as new!
