I've found some delicious sounding cupcake recipes on cupcake blogs, but I'm not hugely big on cupcakes. Are cake recipes interchangeable cake/cupcake? I've always just used normal cake recipes to make cupcakes, can I use these cupcake recipes to make cake? If they don't switch like that, what is the difference?

my understanding -- tho' I could be wrong -- is cake is cake.

so....I'd give it a try.

the worst -- cake balls

the best -- it works

win-win

I agree with Doug (although i'm not sure i'm ready to admit I could be wrong)

The only difference will be you need to follow the baking time for the pan not the recipe.

I have Cupcakes from the Cake Mix Doctor book and I bake them as cakes with no problems. Just alter your baking time and temp. Cupcakes usually bake at a higher temp than cakes. Good luck!
