I was wondering if i should i use plastic or wood dowels for a topsy turvy cake?
And also, can i use regular cardboard for the cake board between layers?
Thanks!

i use big thick plastic straws that i bought from a cake deco store that are specifically for tiered cakes. they're easy to use. i would make sure to use center dowels made from wood though when its all assembled. if you're worried about the card board getting soggy, i'd use foamboard. its much sturdier.
