Do you get a "text book" of sorts when doing a class, my nearest class is like an hour away...I was thinking if you get a text book thing maybe I could find one on amazon or something. Thanks.

You can buy all the books on ebay. I actually bought the 3rd book from Garden Ridge in Atlanta since the Michael's close to me only has the 3rd course every other month.

There is something to be said for going to the classes though. I remember reading the step by step instructions and then getting to class and seeing it done. I had read the instructions verbatim, but I just didn't get the subtle things. I also looked forward to seeing all the other cakes and what other people did differently on their cakes.

They have a book for each of the four classes but I bought the wilton "Decorating Cakes" reference and idea book and it has some of the same information as class books. Bought it 50% off with a coupon.

I agree with gibbler. You can read the books until you have them memorized, but sometimes, the little things just don't sink in until you see it in class.

You can actuall get all three books here on CC. I just bought the Wilton 3 book to check out before taking the class.

My copy and paste functions arent' wrking for some reason.
Go to the Shop tab and search "Wilton Course" under the books department. They're $4.04 each.

It came pretty quick too!

We have been given our books - which I'm saving mine. I plan on taking my cake decorating beyond a "leisure" hobby. I bought a binder and I'm storing all my books/certificates in the binder.
