Help Please With Lace Silicon Mold

I am using a mold but am wanting tips how to "cut" the fondant after pressing into the mold. Thanks!! M

I flip mine out on thin (plastic) cutting board and use an exacto knife to trim mine. I also have a thin layer of Crisco on the mat to prevent any sticking. I have not had any trouble using this process.

I always use exacto knife to trim the edges.. and I do it on a
cutting board. Exacto knife is very small but very sharp...I use lace molds a LOT...

does anything need to be put inside the silicone mold before the fondant is put in there ?

Using a pastry brush, I put a little of cornstartch (very light dusting), probably Cirsco would work too, although I have never tried Crisco. icon_smile.gif
