i haven't made one, but i would simply add a cup of peanut butter to your fav white or choc cake. I think choc peanut butter would rock, then you could stir in some pieces of reeses cups at the end, and make it a reeses cake. i bet lorann oils makes a peanut butter flavor, you might want to look there and add some kick to that PB flavor.
Add a 1/2 cup of melted peanut butter (heat it in the microwave for about thirty seconds) to a yellow or white cake mix or your favorite scratch recipe. Then I would also add an extra 1/4 cup of milk to the batter so that its not too thick. You can add the Reeses morsels to it as well and if you like, you can make a peanut butter mousse to fill it with. Or you can simply use grape jelly and it will make a PB&J cake.
Hey, I am glad I saw this because I have been looking for a good PB recipe too.
OK, I just did the batter and IF it tastes as good once it is baked as the batter does before it is in the oven, oh HOLY MOLY... it is DEEEELICCCCCIIIISSSSIIIIIICCCCCCIIIIOOOOOUUUUSSSSS.. ok I know that isn't even a work, but this shouldn't even be a legal cake. I am adding it to my list of offerings if it works!
OK the MY 1st Peanut Butter cake is officially done and it is WONDERFUL..... OMG, I can't believe it. I added 1/2 cup melted peanut butter to my usual yellow mix, and little bit of milk to thin it out some. I baked it as normal, maybe a little bit longer and let it cool. I added my own milk chocolate BC, and then drizzled some chocolate sauce, just a little bit on top... YUMMY! So thanks to the poster of this forum and weirkd for the idea... super great!
Oh my gosh!!! I made the cake suggested using a chocolate cake mix, 1/2 cup peanut butter and a little milk. The batter was AWESOME!!!! I topped the cake with more melted peanut butter with some powdered sugar mixed in, cooled it all and iced with chocolate frosting. Everybody RAVED about it and asked for the recipe!!! Thanks soooooo much for the help. The groom's socks were definitely knocked off!!!!!
Wow this sounds good to me I'm going to try it too.
Thanks for sharing,
Stacy
