My local supply shop just got these in. Has anyone tried them yet?

I've seen this advertised. The caljava price is great (but shipping doubles the price)--they run more on Ebay and the cosmetic companies that sell them want $25 icon_surprised.gif

What do they cost at the NJ shop, Mary-Ann?

My only concern would be that it would wind up being a dedicated brush because the dust would need to be loaded into the chamber. It would be hard to clean out and/or change the color.

Just my .o2

My shop has them for $7. Both ends come off for cleaning and there is a small filter between the brush and the chamber. But I agree it would need to be for a color you use a lot to be worth the hassle.

I saw them at Sweet Tooth in Galloway, near Atlantic City. Where is Candyland?

they had them at ICES and i have one, yes, it is a dedicated brush, i have mine for super pearl, since thats a popular dust to use on ribbons, lace pieces and cakes. only draw back is the brush does not retrack to put the lid back on, so you catch some of the bristles bending them backwards.

I have been told that you can get something similar from like walgreens in the make up dept where those bristles retrack.

I bought one but took it back because I couldn't get it to work. Not sure if it was me or the brush but no matter what I did, the dust wouldn't come out of the chamber to the brush.

My local cake decorating supply has them for $8.99 and they work very well. I think they do have to be dedicated for each color but they sure make dusting a lot easier.
