I'm still a newbie so this might be a silly question. I like using MMF to mold figurines, but my figurines always look "sweaty" or wet looking. Do I need to add something? I am confused with the gum tex and gum paste?! Are these two separate things and what is the difference/purpose of each. Do I buy these from Wilton or do I "make" my own? TIA!

I love some of the figurines people have made on CC! My figurines always look "sweaty"! I want them to look as good as the ones on this site! Thanks!!

Are you keeping the mmf or figures in the fridge or somewhere condensation will settle on them? I've made figures from mmf, and never had the sweaty look problem. I just use regular mmf, make the figures, and lave them on the counter or a box lid to dry.

I've had the same "sweaty" problem. And, I'll bet it is the fridge. I always thought the butter needed to be cold, but the figures are as hard as rocks in the end, so cold isn't an issue, is it. (Putting them is the freezer is worse yet.) They'll dry on the counter from now on.
