Someone ( and I'm sorry I don't remember who it was) mentioned in one of the posts awhile back that they purchase a special flavoured mixture that they add to their icing instead of vanilla. It is made by a women in New Orleans. I will be in New Orleans in November ( We are going on a mission trip to help in the lower ninth. This is our second time there) I was wodering if I would be able to purchase this flavouring and where I could find it. Does any one know any thing about this? Sorry I don't have very much information. TIA
I don't know if this is what you were looking for but here is a link for a type of mexican vanilla found in new orleans.

"The mixture is called wedding bouquet; sold at B&B cakes and decorating supplies in Hammond. Ms. Sandra is just a sweet lady with a little shop; she mixes and sells the stuff... OMG it is liquid gold!!!"
Googled the address:

I'm sorry this post is so much later than the others. I live in the Hammond area and have used B&B flavoring for years. It is well worth the trip and if you travel over Lake Ponchatrain by way of the causeway I believe you will enjoy the trip. Thank you so much for helping out in the 9th Ward, November is a great time of the year to visit New Orleans. I know you received Ms. Sandra's address and number, so give her a call. Thanks. and have a great trip.
