Can someone please help me? This is my first time using a 3D pan and I don't understand how I'm supposed to place the pan in the oven without the mix spilling out. I know this may sound silly, but I really want to know how this is done. Help!! icon_cry.gif

What pan are you using?
I know that when you first fill one of the 3d pans it seems like the batter will all ooze out but the clamps are tight enough that they don't.
Place the pan on a cookie sheet and make sure you put a little more batter than it calls for to make sure it fills all the way up. The cookie sheet will catch the overflow.

I am using the old winnie the pooh and when I fill it, even with the clamps, the mix oozes out of the hole in the bottom

Is it the pooh with a hunny pot? If so what hole in the bottom? If it isn't that one let me know where to find a picture of it since I don't know of any other 3d poohs.

YES IT IS THE ONE WITH THE HUNNY POT AND THE HOLE THAT YOU INSERT THE HEATING CORE AND CAKE MIX

you can put the 3d pan onto a baking sheet and then carry it over to the overn like a tray

I just made that same cake last weekend... you put it in the oven upside down, with the hole and heating core at the top. HTH!!

You put the area with the heating core on top. So you bake the cake upside down.

DO NOT over fill the pan. I did this and ended up with the biggest mess.

Your clips should be tight enough to hold the two sides of the pans together so the batter does not come out the sides.
