How much time do you set aside for the whole cookie process? From mixing the cookies, to baking them, to decorating them? I'm thinking of expanding and doing sugar cookies in addition to my oatmeal chocolate chip cookies and my cakes.
Just trying to figure things out.

Wow, Carol, that's awesome timing! Mine usually take me a good day or two... hahaha 
Take a look - decorate isn't much for me. I don't get into great detail. I do the roll 'em out and then chill method - saves a lot of time!
Normally I do everything in 3 nights, Bake, Decorate, Bag.
It helps keep me sane. lol It also helps give the coolies time to cool, let them dry, and well bagging can take awhile. I mainly use ribbons and sometimes will use tags.
Smaller batches don't take as long.
I agree. Between two and three days. I bake the first night. I freeze sometimes if I don't have two to three days in a row to work on them. Then depending on the number, I flood the next night and do all the detail the third night. If its a small order, I may flood and do the detail in one night!
Since I ice and decorate my cookies with fondant, it might take me half a day for 24 cookies. Baking and decorating wiht Fondant is never a time issue because I do not have to wait for the icing to get dry. It's just coloring, rolling and cutting..voila !! I am done. 
I think 2 day too. I bake all my cookies one night then spend the next night decorating. That way you can take your time doing them and won't get burned out and just want to finish them really fast.
