Do you use the wisk to mix in the rest of the ingredients or do you which to the paddle.


(WSAC recipe)
Mix all dry ingredients by hand using a whisk in a very large mixing bowl. Add the rest of the ingredients and beat on low speed for 2 minutes. Bake at 325 degrees

The WASC cake recipe calls for whisking the sugar, flour and cake mixes (by hand) to make sure they're blended. (This is done prior to adding liquids so that gluten in flour doesn't toughen from overmixing. Also prevents dust clouds which would occur if using electrix mixer.)

You can then incorporate the remaining ingredients and beat on low using the paddle attachment (if you have one) on your electric mixer.
