Are you the martha stewart of your family or is someone else?
I'd have to say that I am, but there's a few in the running. At least they try to be a martha! I just love all that.
Oh it's definitely me! And my DIL is a close second. BTW, welcome to CC your new addiction
that would be me....
I even get called "Martha", but it's usually with a sarcastic tone....lol
No one else is into cooking, holidays, entertaining, gardening, crafting, decorating, homekeeping, etc as much in our family(s), so I'm it.
Welcome to CC!! My daughter and I share that title in our family and we are quite happy to do so!!
I think I would be the closest to in my family. Love to plan parties and bake all the stuff and the food. My family is totally the opposite, events aren't a big deal to them.
I like to think that I'm the Martha in our family.
....ummmm...Im hoping that means the domestic goddess part, and not the convict part....right?
LOL
In my family it is definitely me!! I am the only one with any kind of crafty talent, and I am the only one who will offer to have the family get togethers at my house. DH doesn't like my mom's cooking and he refuses to go to my sisters house to eat so that leaves me!!!
In his family...thier Martha is actually named Martha ...She is his grandmother..She will work herself to the bone to make sure everything is just right for everyone and she never sits down. She is letting us do more for her these days as she gets tired easily but she still does way more than she needs to for us!! I just love this woman!!! She is MONICA0271's grandmother!!! I am sure she will second me on this statement..LOL
I wish it were me but its not. It is however definetly my Aunt. She is like the MacGyver of the baking world She could make you a tiered wedding cake out of 4 Oreos, a tootsie roll and a dried up crayola marker. Note that I didnt say it tasted great but she could so do it. I can only imagine what she could do with a lunchable, a sleeve of Ritz and a wok!!
I cracked up when I saw this thread! That would be moi. At the last agency Xmas party I went to before retiring the PD I worked at they gave me a gag "memo". I got called up to the podium and it was (farce) from the Martha Stewart show wanting me to audition, lol.
My family is filled with Martha's, but all of my friends call me a Martha wannabe and tell me I'm such a little old lady (I'm only 21, lol).
Isn't it funny how "being a Martha Stewart" is a compliment. Even after she went to jail I still admire her work.
