I'm making a 50's style record player cake. My question is should I do the needle arm in rice krispies? Do I crumb coat rice krispies?

Thx, can't wait to make it.

Oh yeah, another question would you decorate the sides with diamonds (Fondant cut outs) or little records and musical notes? I can't decide!

if im picturing the arm correctly, i dont know about the ice krispies. you may want to just mold fondant or gum paste and let it dry completely for several days or a week. i think you should do the musical notes and little records on the sides

Thx. Yes it would take a good week for the arm to dry if I made it out of fondant. Although I like in AZ things dry pretty quickly here icon_biggrin.gif
