Hi briansbaker,

How about adding cocoa powder and sour cream.

Check out the blue ribbon chocolate fudgy cake recipe that was just posted. I made it this weekend and it was really good. It uses a yellow cake, some unsweetened cocoa, chocolate syrup. Might be what you need. It is very chocolatey icon_evil.gif - needs a glass of milk next to it!

I did this before...I added a package of chocolate pudding(Jello in the box) and it tasted just like chocolate. My other suggestion would be to add cocoa powder. If you have hershey cocoa powder...I think there is an easy recipe for chocolate cake on the box. Hope that helps!

I found the recipe:
2 cups sugar
1 3/4 cups flour
3/4 cup cocoa
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
2 eggs
1 cup milk
1/2 cup veg. oil
2 tsp. vanilla and 1 cup boiling water
Combine dry ingredients. Add eggs, milk, oil, vanilla and beat. stir in boiling water. pour into pans. bake 350 for 30-35 min.
I have made this before and it turned out great! Also you could probably substitute your brand of cocoa if you don't have hershey. Good luck!
