Adhering Draggees?

how do you adhere your dragees (the little silver, gold or pearl balls) to fondant? will clear vanilla work?

I was told vanilla extract will adhere fondant to fondant. I know there are other methods out there though.

yes, vanilla works fondant to fondant but i need to find out how to stick the dragees on. they are so small i don't want anything to show, stick out. does anyone know if vanilla works on them??????

I have used the smallest round tip I have with royal icing OR clear spirits such as vodka, rum, etc. With the royal icing, a tiny dab will do and will not be very noticible if it is the same color as your frosted cake.

I use piping gel. Put on a very tiny dot with a paint brush. One may slip every now and then if you put too much on, but when it dries, they're not going anywhere. Vanilla works on soft fondant but not so well on hard dragees.
