Does anybody have any suggestions on how far in advance can you make figures out of fondent and still have them be edible when the cake is served?

Bump! I'd like to know too! Any tips for storing the pieces to keep them fresh between storage and serving on the cake?

I don't know if this is the way you SHOULD do it but the way I do it is I actually make up the figure like a week in advance and store it in a ziplock bag with as much air squeezed out as possible. The outside of the figure gets a little hard but it's still chewy on the inside. Just a thought.

Thanks, Angel. I'm going to try that for a cake I'm doing for Saturday, next week.
