I am making some cake bites for a wedding tomorrow and would like to use an alternative covering to chocolate. Does anyone have any suggestions please? Reason is I would like to cover them in something that would compliment the bride's colours (which unfortunately for me do not include dark brown or cream icon_sad.gif )

Any help at all would be highly appreciated.

Thanx

you can color your candy melts with candy colors or buy the pre-colored ones

How about poured fondant..easy to make and tastes good!! You could tinit the color with ivory to get an ecru color.

I have never seen candy melts here in thge UK, but I like the idea of poured fondant. How does that work? And is it safe to colour white chocolate?

You have to use oil based colors (unless you have the Flo Coat from Americolor) because the regular icing colors are water based and water will make chocolate seize. That being said, they have oil based candy colors at Michaels as well as the white candy coating so you could make it different colors.

tporbz,

The recipe is on CC for poured fondant. You can color white chocolate but you have to use oil based color or the chocolate will seize.
