My sister asked me to do a cake for a baby shower and I realized that my pink gel color was dried up, so I could not use it. Since I am doing a large pink bow on the top, I needed the pink color......but didn't want to drive 30 minutes to Michael's.....(this is race weekend in our town, and the highway I would use is backed up bumper to bumper at this time). Sooooo......I started perusing my colors trying to decide what to do....and I took my SuperRed, and used a TINY bit in my white fondant, and I got the MOST beautiful shade of pale pink. I will never use the pink gel color again when I get this beautiful shade from the SuperRed! What a find!

I always use red for pink. 24 years of decorating. Somebody gave me a pink they bought for a one-shot deal, I tried it once and got a dusty color. Didn't like it at all. I'll stick with red.
