Baking By Jessicalee18 Updated 26 Aug 2007 , 12:06am by Jessicalee18
I want to do a caterpillar cookie for my sons first birthday, But have no idea how to decorate one. I really would love to do a baby einsteine caterpillar. any suggestions?
I had to do a search because I didn't know what that was.
I found this image. http://www.babyproofingplus.com/usrimage/0cat.jpg
You could use a flower cutter for the shape. I don't know what kind of icing you use. Whichever method, do the circles. Pipe the antennae, legs and facial features in royal. I'd pipe his name in the top area.
I know there are caterpillar cutters available, but didn't know if you had one or time to order.
HTH!
I forgot to ask if you did a search in the gallery. There are more cakes than cookies, but you might get some ideas.

Wilton makes a set of bug cutters for less than $5. I have used them and they can be decorated many ways--very easy designs.
eta: the ones mentioned above are the ones I use from Wilton. And Hobby Lobby has that nifty 40off coupon this week on their net site.
I just made some bug cookies, has a catapillar. It is in my pictures. shana
I did some as well. There is a pic in my photos.
Good luck!
