Ughhhhhhh! It seems like evertime I want to color MMF my arm about falls off from fatique. I have some americolors, some wilton, and probably every other brand. First, I zap the MMF for a few sec to soften. Then, no matter what brand of coloring I use, I feel like add some, mix, mix, mix, add more, knead, knead knead. It takes way too long. However, if I just throw a bunch of color in at the beginning, it is often tooooooo dark. Am I missing something? Why does it take so darn long. Any tips?

I cheat and use my bread attachment for the kitchaide when making large batches of dark colors - you'll need to push the fondant off with a spatula when it gobs up on the paddle.

I was just telling my daughter, I prefer coloring MMF over icing. At least I can achieve colors easier. I have used the Easy MMF and Rhonda's Ultimate and I don't have any problems coloring the MMF. No, I don't lift weights and have muscles, to make the job easier.

I made red and blue MMF this morning and I did have to add some more powdered sugar, but it wasn't bad at all. I am wondering if your fondant is stiffer to begin with, so it is harder. Just like icing that is to thick is awful to pipe. Years ago, I did a bunny/rabbit pan and I piped stars all over the top. I remember saying I would NEVER do that again, my arms were killing me. I later learned my icing was to thick.
