You might want to search for "rhinestone ribbon" or "rhinestone cording" I've seen it sold by the foot in upscale fabric shops.
If it's rhinestones on ribbon then I would try gluing some onto the ribbon after putting it on the cake. Maybe use royal icing. If you mean a diamond pattern on the cake then I use an impression mat I bought from Earlene Moore. Make sure to post your picture after you try it so we can see.
It's hard to tell from the tv picture.
you can buy it at any cloth stores. it is just rhinestones linked together. i used them on a dress one time. but i haven't seen any edible ones. sorry

Actually you don't have to order that online. Any fabric store should have that in stock! I have bought them for sewing projects and stuff like that, and desperately want to do a cake with them. I love diamonds (even in this case if they're fake!) ON EVERYTHING! ![]()
