I had a request for a Pillsbury "funfetti" cake. I've never made this before... I usually use Duncan Hines and doctor them like crazy... Is there a way to doctor the funfetti? I usually add extra eggs and pudding mix, but since I see you only use egg whites with funfetti, maybe this isn't an option... Anyone have any suggestions?

It's probably so the cake part comes out very white and the jimmies will look brighter. I don't see why you couldn't use your usual doctored recipe with this, unless you mind it being a little "off white".

I've used the cake mix extender & always use whole eggs in Funfetti - no problems! (I hate separating eggs icon_rolleyes.gif ) To be honest I never noticed any color even with the whole eggs, but since I've never made it with just egg whites, I guess I wouldn't know what it's real color is supposed to be.

I've doctored a Funfetti mix using one of the recipes in the Cake Mix Doctor book. I can't recall which one now but it was fine.

Excellent... I guess I'll just go for it with whole eggs and see what happens... Thanks!

The cake mix cookies are super fast and super easy.

Use any flavor cake mix but instead of making as directed for a cake, just add 1/2 c. oil to the dry mix. Mix well until it forms a cookie dough type ball. Roll small balls or use a tablespoon to drop batter on cookie sheet. Bake at 325 degrees for 12 min. Viola!

I just did the funfetti and drizzled raspberry puree on top of some and chocolate syrup on others. Also made a chocolate cake mix cookie and added raspberry syrup to it. Then made a raspberry buttercream to go on top. I made a lemon cake mix cookie and drizzled cream cheese frosting on top and lastly I made a cinnamon swirl cake mix cookie.

They are super moist too!
