My MIL is not even 5 minutes away, driving distance. My DH is VERY close to his mom! It was better when she lived in FL, we live in IL.

my MIL is great (even though she gets under my skin a lot), she lives 7 minutes away and my parents are 4 minutes away (and my parents are friends with my inlaws) I think I need to move icon_cry.gif

That's exactly what I was going to say!!

Every single day, literally, I have to remind myself that I married my husband, not his family!!!

For anyone that's ever gotten a divorce or contemplated one...did you take your inlaws into factor. Like almost a pros and cons list and the inlaws would definitely in capital letters be in the cons side? Does that make sense?

It's pretty sad when even the DH thinks his mom is nuts though. icon_lol.gif He's mean and spends time doing guy things with his dad and leaves his mom to me. icon_twisted.gif

Mine live across the street from me. (Think everybody loves raymond, except hubby is much better than ray and I'm a lot nicer than his wife, and we only have one kid)
My FIL is great, only offers advice when needed or asked and does it in such a nice way.
MIL- wish we could send her away sometimes. But then I would be without a babysitter while I am at work. She definetely needs to work on the tact department sometimes when she is trying to "help" people.....oh don't even get me started on that one..I can tell you some stories!

It's so bad how the smallest things can set off my MIL, like taking my DD to school and back. Sheesh!!!
