Gumpaste Raspberries?

Has anyone ever made raspberries out of gumpaste or fondant or other edible medium? How should I go about this? It's a fondant covered cake and some berries will be on the sides of the cake. Any ideas are much appreciated, thanks!

I've worked with gumpaste a little bit, but not tried this. I think you could maybe make a small ball of gumpaste the size you need, and then make the individual sections of the raspberry with a decorating tip. Just pressing the round tube into the ball of gumpaste to make the impressions.

However, I'm not sure, but you might be able to find a mold and press the shapes. Or possible an impression mat?

That's a good idea, using the end of a tip. I had not thought of that! A mold would definitely be quicker. Thanks!

Take a small piece of fondant or gumpaste. Roll it into a ball then roll it over the fine side of a grater. Use an umbrella tool to indent the top.
