I've never made one but I am thinking 4 strips of evenly cut fondant, perhaps 1/8 to 1/4 inch thick applied to the sides and a top cut even to the cake?

was it a single layer 2in or 3in cake? and did it fit good on top of the other cake?

i used styrofoam for the lids in the cake in my photos. the round lid was a precut styrofoam disk which ended up a tad smaller than the cake after i iced the cake icon_sad.gif . if i had to do it over i would do a strip of fondant around the top to simulate a lid unless u want the open lid look.

I did a wedding cake that was stacked and she wanted BC with fondant Bow and the bottom cake we put swiss dots and then a band of thicker fondant around the top of the cake and where the fondant was thicker it looked just like a hat box, Im having trouble covering styro foam disks im trying to do a fax mini wedding cake for our Fair this year and the bottom is 4 then the next one is 2.5 and the top is 1?? and for some reason when i rolled out my fondant and tried to cover it it looked like a table cloth i cut some off but when i tried to smooth it done on the sides it pleated at the bottom what do you think is happening? And how can i get these covered smooth
