My sister loves chocolate and peanut butter. I am making her a chocolate cake with a peanut butter filling. She also loves MMF. Any suggestions for a buttercream flavor for the cake and a flavor for the fondant other than vanilla/almond? Please help!!! Sister pregnant with twins and SHE WANTS CAKE! icon_biggrin.gif

Some type of caramel flavoring in the fondant? Could be the makings of a Snicker's style cake? Leave the buttercream vanilla like the nougat. Yum...I'm making myself hungry. icon_wink.gif

Vanilla butterceam - ok! Carmel fondant - never tried - but could be worth it!

Why not go for a chocolate MMF? For the buttercream....hmm...I suppose you could go for a peanut butter or a chocolate hazelnut (Nutella) flavor might be yummy.

To make peanut butter frosting just add a couple T of peanutbutter and cut about that much shortening out. You might try it on something else first, but I don't know why that wouldn't work with your buttercream.

A bakery that I worked at used a real butter based buttercream and a lot peanut butter. It isn't fluffy, but it is good.

What about chocolate buttercream and chocolate fondant? You can never have too much chocolate as far as I'm concerned!!
