Is there a secret to cutting it without squishing it? icon_confused.gif
I made a chocolate mousse cake- It has a brownie bottom , mousse in the middle and ganache on top. It's REALLY yummy..but it squishes when I cut it and isn't pretty. Btw, I cut it right after taking it from the fridge.

Help please icon_redface.gif

TIA
Amy

You could try soaking a knife in hot water, wipe it off and then cut. This usually works for me. Did you cool the mousse enough for it to set well?

Yes.. a hot knife should do the trick. Boil some water and stick your knife in it.. dry it off and cut. Wipe the knife off between cuts too. Sounds yummy!!

Yea, it had been sitting in the fridge since Thurs night. The recipe says to chill for 1-2 days in the springform pan. So, I did.. then cut it this afternoon when my nephew FINALLY came to pick it up ( it was for his bday and I got a piece before he took it home icon_lol.gif )
I'll try the hot knife.
Thanks
