My Cake Disaster...

Hi, I am new here and i thought I should share my first cake story...
I took some cake decorating classes one summer and I thought I was ready for making a cake on my own.
It was looking great and had pretty roses. I was getting up to answer the phone and the cake fell unto my lap. I was very upset and thought it would be the end of the nightmare... oh no... it wasn't...
Then I decided to cut the most put-together-part and take it to my boyfriends house. My mother was driving and almost missed a stop sign... the cake flew out of my hands and hit the windshield.
So, no cake for my boyfriend, but he got a laugh out of it.

Hello there. I'm sorry to laugh. I hope I'm laughing with you and not at you. I have to say though when I first started I was so affraid of that happening that I had to make sure the cake was buckled in before I would take them anywhere. Even if they were my own cakes. Talk about being overly cautious.
I hope you don't get discouraged from this incident. It's just something to look back at and laugh.
Good luck on your journey.

Too funny!
Welcome, and thanks for sharing that. The visual it gave me made me snort with laughter!
It can only go up from here, eh?
