I need to make some spider man cookies can anyone tell me how far in advance I can bake these and decorate these I will package them to give out to the kids as little Thank You gifts please someone help, also if you have a good recipe for the cookies and frosting I atewould greatly appreciate your help

You can easily bake them weeks in advance, then freeze them. Decorate them closer to the date you want them. They'll stay fresh for quite some time, but I usually don't have them ready to go more than a couple days before they're needed. I just don't have the space! I use a recipe similar to the NFSC, and I use Toba's Glaze.
My favorite cookie recipe is the "Master" rolled butter (er something like that) this is here in the recipe section. Seems like I always need more flour than the recipe calls for (I live in FLA, though) but the flavor and texture is phenomenal. Good luck!
