wanting to make a martini glass 3-d on top of a b-day cake not sure of what to make it out of. Do I use choc. gumpaste, fondant or is there something that would hold up better. I thought I might just put a real glass on it but would really like to make it. Does not really have to be eaten.

hi there beleos, a couple of people here at CC have told me to use gumpaste as it is stronger and dries harder so i would recommend using that

i made one not to long ago, and what I did was sculpt a cake like a martini glass and set it on top of a sheet cake. turned out very nice. photo is posted.

Thanks guys, I'll try the gumpaste. I offered to make it laying down but she wants it to be upright.
-thanks-
