Hi. I'd like to do a cookie cake for my son to take to school on tuesday morning (that's Monday PM your time). I plan to do it in a 10x15" pan. Some questions:

1. Can I pre-slice the cookie a before covering with the design/frosting?

2. I have a FBCT of the design my son wants which I'd like to apply to the cookie cake. Do I first have to do a thin coating of BC all-over the cookie cake's top surface? or can I apply the FBCT directly on the bare cookie?

TIA

You can apply the FBCT directly onto the cookie but when it thaws, it may not be as smooth. I would apply a thin layer of BC about the size of the transfer and then finish with a shell border at the edge of the transfer and at the edges of the cookie.

You can pre-slice the cookie if you would like--careful with spreading frosting on it, that it does not shift. I would use an icing tip and thinner BC. Then smooth out with spatula.

Thank you! Will have to postpone cookie cake until Friday. I'll make it for my other son's last day of school. My 5YO whom I intended the cookie cake for didn't want it. He wants cupcakes.
