Knitted Effect?

Hi CC family.

How do you ge the knitted efect ont he baby booties. What tip do you use? don't want to use stars I find the Knitted effect looks more realistic

knitted effect like when you knit with yarn??

Here's a baby sweater cake I did recently. I used the star tip 16 or 18 & did shells & zig zags. I don't know if this is what you are looking for, but maybe it will help?
